Phillipians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
This is my favorite verse. I feel empowered through God to do things for him and he will strengthen me to be successful in that. This also helps to remind me that only when I am doing this for God and to please God will I be successful. THROUGH CHRIST I am given strength, I can't do something evil through God because he is holy and perfect. This challenges me to watch my actions and do things for God. It also makes me confident that when I am working for Christ he will give me strength to do it and I am not alone. God will be at my side fighting with me, and I will be successful. Especially next year I will keep this verse in mind as I go to high school and I will be surrounded by non-christians. God will give me strength to influence them spiritually and maintain my strong faith in God. I am confident I will be successful through God.

Doors closing
Man leisurely exiting
Almost out

The doors slammed shut!
Face smooshed, fat in between
Fingers toes turning green
Suddenly
Doors rip rapidly open on scene!
METRO HERO
Again frees an innocent bystander
"Beep Beep"
Screams
Muscles bulging
Hero races to the next metro stop
Saves another
He stalks the doorways
Searching for victims to free
To gain revenge
Sweet revenge
From the time the evil metro took his finger
The door slammed shut on his precious pinkie

Doors strike again
FLASH!
METRO HERO!
Victim freed
The metro jaws surrender
Cold, metal, bone crunching jaws leaving empty
L'Efant Plaza
The doors wait, like a hungry lion
Stalking its prey
Growling with hunger
Waiting to devour

Be a Safe Blogger!
The Internet is very accessible by everyone! Therefore; certain rules should be followed to keep you and others safe while blogging. This is my code of conduct and the rules I intend to follow.
Rule #1: NEVER give out personal information! Don't post your phone number or home address. People you don't want to get this information can and will, it's open to everyone who has a computer.
Rule #2: Whatever you put on the Internet stays on the Internet, even if you delete it it's hard to permanently erase. 10 years from now you could be applying for a school or a job and your employer tries to find you on the Internet. What if they don't like what they see? Be very proud always of what you post.
Rule #3: Never put a link on your blog to something you haven't entirely read or checked out! Something on there could be harmful or inappropriate and you wouldn't know because you haven't read it yet.
Rule #4: Never harass any one online even if it is only a joke. Someone could see it and you could be punished by the law.
Comments you leave on other blogs are also read by everyone and you should make sure those are appropriate as well. Along with following the four rules listed above here are some tips to good, safe commenting.
Always read a blog that states someone's opinion about something with an open mind. When you comment it shouldn't just be some fun casual conversation, it's an educated question or opinion greatly considering the post.
Ask questions. Why don't you understand this part? What is confusing to you? Ask them to elaborate on one subject or ask them why they feel that way about that certain decision.
Give opinions. Do you agree or disagree with them? Why or why not? Give a well thought out answer with good examples and ideas why you feel that way.
Some good entries to commenting are:

This is similar to..
I wonder...
I realized...
You can relate this to...
I'd like to know...
I'm surprised that...
If I were_______, I would...
If_______ then....
Although it seems...
I'm not sure that...
Begin your comment by quoting part of the post or another comment about the post so the reader knows what you are talking about. Elaboration is the most important when you are trying to make a point. Questions keep the conversationg going. Don't be afraid to disagree or voice your opinion to another post. When someone does disagree with you don't get offended, listen to their opinions. Be sure to respond and let your challengers know they have influenced your thinking.

Hot Shot Tournament
Soccer! Through sweat, pain, and tears my soccer team has developed over the years into an outstanding, hard-working soccer team, Valley Thunder. With mostly 12-13 year olds on our team we play up in the U14 age bracket. With so much talent and perseverence on our team we have "wowed" many parents who have come to watch our games. May 15-16 we had an oppurtunity to play in a soccer tournament in CDA. We took it! First Game: Won! 3-1 was the score, and we came out on top. I had 1 assist that game. My whole team played hard, fast, and skillfully. Game 2: (same day) Won! 4-0. I had 2 assists. The parents on the sidelines were so amazed at how we played this game they followed our schedule to come catch our next game. Game 3: (day 2) Won! 6-0. I had 3 assists this game. Our crowd now grew from different people all over to watch us play our hearts out and connect as a team on the field. Finally we have made it to the Championship Game! Everyone's nerves grew as we warmed up. This team was going to be tough and we were preparing for a fight. The reffs called up captains and we trotted up to him at the half line. Coin toss was called and we got the ball. Nerves were mounting upon nerves. The whistle blew, the game started, we fought, we fought long and hard and we were dead tired. We lost. 3-0. We got second. Tears. Tears falling. Tears gathering. Tears shed. We could of had the win but we fell apart. I was devestated. I was angry. I was crying. Loosing never leaves you the least bit happy. But we still walked up and got our second place trophies and held our heads high. Our coach and parents satisfied with a good hard weekend of soccer. Next tournament, everyone better watch out! We have a goal to reach!
